Imagine that you’re driving down a long road. This trip is different than many others, as you don’t have a navigation system or a map to follow. While your vision is clear, the destination is uncertain. Yet you know exactly where you want to end up. There are detours, exits, rest stops and obstacles along the way. Some take you down dark, empty side streets. Others lead to lush scenery and roads paved with success.
Maintain a grateful, optimistic attitude as you go through your daily routine. You’ll have more energy at the end of the day. You’ll also be refreshed and ready to spend time doing what you really want to do. While it’s great to imagine doing what you love and loving what you do all day every day, it starts with the right mindset doing what you’re doing right here right now. Be thankful for where you are as you work towards your goals. Make the Most of Today!
Imagine that you’re walking down a long hallway. You have no idea which key fits into which door or which door to try. The only thing you know is that opportunity could be on the other side, and any key in hand could be the right one. Although possibilities are endless, real success is hard to come by. How do you figure out which key to use and which door is right?
Imagine you’re running late for work. You get to the office in a rush. You’re close to the elevator when you drop a piece of paper. Others behind you are running late as well. Looking back, you catch a glimpse of the crowd. What happens if you stop abruptly to pick up the piece of paper you dropped? If others are rushing behind you, it’s likely you’ll bump into someone. If there’s a wall, you might just hit the wall.
What do you do when circumstances are against you? Do you fold under pressure or get back up and stand tall. Life throws curveballs. Learn to handle them with grace. If able to adapt and adjust, you’ll always stay in the game. It can be a challenge to go against the grain. But when life pushes you down, take a stand. Never lower your standards to fit in. Always raise the bar, and you’ll stand out.
