Busyness is used as a measure of success. If able to do more, have more and be more, we somehow feel in control of our lives.
As a result and goal-driven person myself, I gave in to this erroneous definition for years. I put accomplishing goals ahead of faith, family and health.
It was apparent that my life was out of balance. I knew what I was doing. Still, I convinced myself that I was making this sacrifice for the greater good. I could only fool myself for so long.
A busy lifestyle helps to get things done and make things happen. But, at what cost? Chasing goals leads to forgetting dreams. Aiming for the target, we completely miss the mark.
My driven personality enabled me to succeed in many areas. I pushed through things when others might have given up. I took on more than seemed logical. I accomplished more than seemed reasonable. Still, I wanted more. I wanted to do more, have more and be more. What I really wanted was more out of life.
Someone or something was pulling my strings. Like a puppet in a marionette show, I danced for others but fear kept my hands tied. I was ready to stop chasing goals and start living the life I had always wanted. I was determined to live a life of purpose and break through to my full potential. My mission is to empower you to do the same.
I’m here to challenge the way you look at yourself, your life and your potential. You’re here because something about my message resonates with you. Perhaps it speaks to your current situation or challenges your current mindset. Whatever the case, if it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t move you. If it doesn’t move you, it won’t change you.
You’ve never settled for less than the best. You’re a result and goal-driven person. You stand out from the crowd. A desire to excel pushes you to be your best. This very same drive has led to your success.
You also know the importance of a positive mindset. You’ve heard it all and read it all when it comes to health, balance and fulfillment in life. I bet you’ve even made more than your fair share of attempts to change direction. Time just doesn’t seem to be on your side.
Your standards are high. Everything needs to get done. You have too much to do but not enough time to do it. A busy lifestyle leaves you burnt out and feeling less than your best.
Accomplishing goals is great. Yet, you’re tired of merely checking tasks off your list. You want to find meaning beyond the busyness. Life has to be more than this.
If you feel this way, you’ve come to the right place. That very same drive that pushes you to do more, have more and be more is calling you into a courageous, purposeful life.
Finding balance beyond the busyness is possible. The answer is inside of you. But you have to slow down long enough to hear your own thoughts.
Make time for yourself daily. Rediscover what you love to do, and do it. And if you have a goal, take action every day. The size of the step is unimportant. Just be consistent. Do it for you.
