Imagine that you’re standing in a valley, and you’re looking up at the peak of the highest mountain. Dreams and goals feel out of reach. It’s hard to imagine accomplishing them. And the thought of making it to the top feels like an impossibility.
Your heart is pounding, and your knees are shaking. Still, you put one foot in front of the other to take a step. Suddenly, you’re faced with a decision. Is it best to give up?
This is when you need to stand firm. Despite obstacles and circumstances, resolve not to quit. Walking towards the mountain may cause you to feel fear. But I think you’ll be surprised to find that it doesn’t get harder. It actually gets easier. Standing on the edge of your dreams, this is your chance.
But how do you keep going when life doesn’t match up with the vision? The answer is simple yet easy to overlook. In short, keep the vision in sight.
Dreams and goals are more tangible when written down. When thoughts are put on paper, you’re more likely to believe them and stay strong. When you read what you’ve written, you speak it into reality.
Don’t be surprised if what you write or speak changes over time. Change is a part of the process. A clear vision gives you direction. But dreams don’t become a reality until you make a firm decision. And nothing happens without action.
Resolve to do something. Create a plan. Keep it in front of you. Be open to change and growth. The plan will unfold as you move forward.
Consistency is key. Pick up one rock a day. One day you’ll look back and realize you moved a mountain. Every step forward takes you one step closer to the goal. In conclusion, write the vision down. Keep it in sight. Speak it into reality. Then turn words into action.
If you’re ready to Inspire Yourself to Action, let’s talk.
